Tactical Environmental Scan
Elevation 7,600 FT. High winds triggered surface chop in the outer bays, creating prime low-light cruising conditions for native Bear Lake cutthroat. Water temps measured 54°F.
Biological Activity
- Cruising Depth: Fish were actively tracking between 10ft and 18ft along weed line drop-offs.
- Sonar Signatures: Sonar sweeps picked up schools of Utah chub being shadowed by predator-grade cutthroat.
“A slow, erratic figure-8 retrieve with the Balanced Leech suspended beneath an indicator yielded repeated violent strikes.”
Field Observations
Recon concluded at 17:00 when high alpine storm clouds moved in from the west. 8 specimens registered, all safely released back into Sector 07.
